Garden Weddings & Public Venues
Here’s everything you need to know when booking with us for your wedding at a public garden or similar venue!
Please note: This section does not apply to privately owned gardens/venues.
Public Venue Policy
Time restraints: The Booking payment is for 3hrs only. Please make sure to give us an accurate start and end time for your ceremony. Make sure to arrive a little early to the venue so you can start your ceremony on time. This will help to wrap up everything at the appointed time.
Note: Do consider the time needed for getting all your pictures done after the ceremony.
Extra fee for extended time: In case your ceremony continues more than 10 minutes after the booked time frame, an additional $40 fee will be charged. This amount will be deducted from your bond.
Responsible Person: As most public gardens are unattended and The Lily Pipit staff will leave once the set-up is complete, make sure to appoint a friend/family member to be present at the venue until guests arrive. Please share the contact number and details of the appointed person with The Lily Pipit team so they can co-ordinate a smooth handover on the day of the event. This will also help you to avoid any issues regarding lost items at the conclusion of the event, as the person will be doing a hand over to us at the end of your booked time period.
Note: A friend/family member needs to always be present with the hired items during the booked time, or until handover is done.
Bond requirement: A refundable bond payment of $150 is required for bookings at all public venues including gardens and beaches. This bond money will be refunded once all hired items are safely collected.
Clear and honest Communication: Be clear & honest when making bookings for your event. If there are any changes in the schedule after the booking or on the day of the event, make sure you contact us and let us know how we can help you.
Weather forecast: Make sure to check the weather forecast for the day, as it is nearly impossible for us to arrange shade umbrellas or ice-buckets on the day.
Non hired Items: The Lily Pipit will not collect/be responsible for items not belonging to us. If using personal décor items or items from other vendors, please make additional arrangements to look after them.
